Where BN1 is — and what we deliver to it
BN1 is the broadest Brighton postcode. It runs from the seafront through The Lanes and North Laine, up past the station to Seven Dials, Preston Park, Withdean, and out toward the University of Sussex halls at Falmer. Tens of thousands of Brighton residents and ~50,000 students live here.
Our Brighton kitchen sits at 1 Paston Place, Brighton BN2 1HA — a short hop east in Kemptown. Delivery to BN1 is included in our default zone (BN1, BN2, BN3) and the rider window is typically ~25 minutes door-to-door, longer at peak Friday evenings or in heavy seafront traffic.
We're built for the BN1 customer who's been around the local Indian scene a few times: you've already tried Bhindis, you've ordered Brinjals on Lewes Road, you know the curry-house default. Yum! Curries is a different lane — premium-comfort register, halal end-to-end, every chicken cube hand-trimmed boneless, every cooked dish nut-free.
Order Yum! Curries direct to BN1
Direct ordering is cheaper for you and fairer for us. Aggregator apps add a 25–30% markup we don't control — order direct and you pay eat-in prices.
What to order from central Brighton
If you're new to Yum! — or new to Indian — these four are the safest first orders. Each has its own page with the full recipe story, allergen detail, and image.
Yum Makhani
Boneless butter chicken in our signature creamy tomato makhani. Universally loved. £15.95
Royal Chicken Biryani
Sella 1121 saffron-stained basmati, charred boneless tandoor chicken, crispy onion. £16.95
Shahi Paneer
Pillowy paneer in mildly spiced tomato gravy. Cream and saffron — never cashew. £14.95
Amritsari Chole
Punjabi chickpea curry with punchy masala. Vegan, gluten-free. £12.95
The honest take on BN1's Indian scene
BN1 is spoiled for choice. Bhindis is a deserved favourite for value and consistency. Curry Leaf Cafe holds the eat-in standard. Planet India owns the vegetarian niche on Richmond Place. We're not pretending those don't exist — they do, and they're loved for good reasons.
What Yum! offers that none of them stack together: halal-certified end-to-end + boneless every chicken dish + nut-free across every cooked plate + low-oil restaurant-rich finish + delivery-first packaging. If those five matter to you on a particular night, this is the lane we're in.
Allergens & dietary at a glance
- Halal certified — every meat dish, every kitchen surface. Certifier [CERTIFIER BODY — to confirm] — the certificate name will appear here as soon as it's issued.
- No beef. No pork. Anywhere on the menu. Ever.
- Boneless chicken only — hand-trimmed tender cubes, every dish.
- Nut-free across every dish we cook — curries, biryani, rice, tikka, kebab, samosa, paneer. Exception: our off-site desserts (Ras Malai, Gulab Jamun) are made by a separate supplier and contain nuts (pistachios). Flag any nut allergy at order time and skip the desserts.
- Vegan & vegetarian — Amritsari Chole, Dal Makhani (vegan), Shahi Paneer (vegetarian, gluten-free).
- Low-oil cooking — flavour from spice and reduction, not pools of butter or ghee.
Pair this with our halal & nut-free policies
If you have multiple dietary requirements — halal AND nut-free, vegetarian AND nut-free — read the full scoped policies. They name what's covered and the dessert exception every time.
