Halal Indian, done properly.
Most "halal Indian" takeaways in Brighton mean the chicken is halal but the kitchen is mixed-use, the certifier is unnamed, and the proof is buried. Yum! Curries treats halal as a confidence claim, not a footnote.
What halal means at Yum! Curries today
- All meat sourced from halal-certified suppliers — every chicken cube, every seekh kebab, every tikka piece. Supplier certificates are available to any customer on request — email hello@yumcurries.com.
- No beef. No pork. Ever. Inclusive by design — for Muslim, Hindu, religious-vegetarian customers, or anyone who simply wants clean meat.
- Kitchen-level HMC/HFA certification is in process. The certifier body is being finalised; once issued, we will publish the certificate, certifier name, certificate number, and expiry date on our halal page with a direct link to the certifier's public register entry.
- Halal logo visibility — on packaging (kraft tiffin tower, individual bowls, kraft bag), on every aggregator listing, on our Google Business Profile (when verified), and at the kitchen entrance at 1 Paston Place.

Halal Indian Brighton — FAQ
Is Yum! Curries fully halal-certified?
All meat is sourced from halal-certified suppliers (supplier-level — certificates on request). Kitchen-level HMC/HFA certification is in process; the certificate will be published on this page as soon as issued.
Who certifies the meat suppliers?
The supplier-level halal certification is held by our suppliers under recognised UK halal certification bodies. Specific supplier certificates are available on request. Once Yum! Curries' kitchen-level certification completes, we will name the certifier publicly.
Do you serve beef or pork?
No, and never will. Yum! Curries does not use beef or pork in any dish. This is central to our inclusive design.
Are utensils and prep surfaces separated from non-halal?
Yum! Curries' kitchen does not handle non-halal meat at all. There is no beef, no pork, no non-halal poultry, and no shellfish. There is no cross-contact risk because non-halal proteins are never present.
Where can I read the halal page?
See yumcurries.com/halal. We will publish the kitchen-level certificate as soon as it is issued.
